Precautionary Water Boil Order


UPDATE:

The water line repair in the Woodlands has been completed and a precautionary water boil notice for N. 10th St and addresses East of N. 10th St. it in effect. Due to the timing of the weekend, It will most likely be Monday afternoon before it is lifted.


***Affects WCID3 Water Customers living on N. 10th St and all addresses

East of N. 10th St in the City of Nolanville***

On Friday, August 18, 2023, Bell County WCID3 was notified of a water line break in the Woodlands Mobile Home Park in Nolanville. Crews are onsite assessing the water line break and will begin to repair the water line as quickly as possible.


Customers living on N. 10th St and East of N. 10th St. are experiencing either water service interruption or low water pressure. A precautionary boil order is in effect for the affected customers.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our water system, Bell County WCID #3, to notify customers that live within the affected area of the need to boil their water prior to consumption. To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
