CITY OF NOLANVILLE GEARS UP FOR BIGGEST EVENTS OF THE YEAR

Updated: Sep 22, 2022

Nolanville- September 7, 2022 — The City of Nolanville will again be hosting its 10th Annual Train Whistle Jamboree and Fox Trot 1K/5K on September 24. The event will be held at Nolanville City Hall, located at 101 N 5thStreet, with the Fox Trot festivities starting at 9 AM and the Jamboree kicking off at 5 PM. Parking for both events will be on Avenue G in the grassy area between the road and the railroad track.

The day will start with the Fox Trot 5K, a part of the Cen-Tex Race Series. While pre-registration has ended, you can still register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/Nolanville/FoxTrot?remMeAttempt= up until 11:59 PM September 21, or you can register on the morning of the event at City Hall.

The race starts at 9 AM at City Hall. The 5K will weave throughout the City before bringing the runners back to City Hall for the finish line. The 1K, which starts simultaneously, has a different turnaround point that will get runners back to City Hall, where they will be met with fun colors.

The fun doesn't stop after the race is over. Join us again at City Hall from 5-9 PM for the Train Whistle Jamboree. The Jamboree's goal has always been to have a free, family-friendly event for the community to come together and enjoy.

This year's event is jam-packed with community vendors, non-profit booths, and food trucks. Also joining this year's lineup are two bands, Jon Austin band & Michael Carabelli, a mechanical bull, hypnotist, petting zoos, face painting over five moon bounces, a DJ, and much more. Don't forget the popular Pie Eating contest!

Cost is free for the community to attend, and food, drinks, crafts, and merchandise from local vendors are available for purchase. All the above-listed activities, such as moon bounces, face painting, petting zoo, bands, etc., are available at no additional cost.

The City of Nolanville and its staff have worked hard all year, making this event a reality for the community. Most of the work is done in-house with our staff to help keep the overall cost down, but without community sponsors and area businesses who donate items, funds, and manpower, this event would not be as big and unique as it has become.

The City would like to thank our 2022 event sponsors for making this year the best year yet. Great Escape Killeen, Mililani Woods, Foxworth Galbraith, Subway, Lackmeyer, Construction, Perdue Brandon Attorneys at Law, Dead Fish Grill, Northside Baptist Academy & Church, Genesis Aero, ABC Home & Commercial Services, Renewal by Andersen, Walter Castro Homes, Nolanville Lions Club, Empyral Homes, Carlson Law Firm and The Hop.
