Nolanville— May 27, 2022 — Summer may not technically start until June 21, but the residents of Nolanville helped usher in some early summer vibes by celebrating the last day of the KISD school year with a community splash party.
“We always get questions toward the end of May about when the Splash Pad at Monarch Park will open and with recent repairs done to the splash pad itself and hotter than normal temperatures already this year, we thought it would be a perfect time to officially open up the Splash Pad for the summer and make an evening of it,” said Kerry Fillip, Nolanville Economic Development Coordinator.
In addition to the Splash Pad being on, event goers were treated to all you could eat hotdogs, snow cones, a petting zoo, music, and more water toys than any one person can hold.
“We wanted this to be an easy-going, fun event where we could all hang out with the community and celebrate the start of summer,” said Jennifer Shidler, Nolanville Community Outreach Coordinator said. “Our goal was to see people enjoy it and have fun, and by the looks of tonight’s event, we really succeeded.”
